As part of our commitment to develop our regulatory role, we are conducting a Stakeholder Feedback survey.

The new Regulatory Framework for social housing in England from 2012 implements the amendments to the Housing and Regeneration Act 2008 introduced by the Localism Act 2011, and the Secretary of State’s directions on specific standards for the Regulator.

It sets out the parameters under which we will carry out our regulatory activity, and has been developed following extensive consultation with our key stakeholders.  This new Regulatory Framework replaces the one which came into effect on 1 April 2010.

Also available are:

• the Consent to Disposals, published as part of the 2010 Regulatory Framework and continuing in effect after 1 April 2012
• the Disposal Proceeds Fund, issued by the Housing Corporation in 2008, stated under the 2010 Regulatory Framework, and continuing in effect after 1 April 2012
• the Accounting Direction for social housing in England from April 2012, which sets out the way in which Registered Providers are required to present their annual accounts, plus responses to the consultation.
