Proposals to deliver thousands of jobs in the Solent Enterprise Zone at Daedalus, South Hampshire, have taken a huge step forward after plans to develop the site were backed by local councillors.

We are working with partners to create 3,500 jobs on the site by 2026 to turn the area into a destination of choice for businesses within the marine, aerospace and aviation sectors.

Two outline planning applications which pave the way for a major redevelopment of the Enterprise Zone were approved on 29 March by Fareham and Gosport Borough Councils. New businesses, homes, a hotel and community facilities are planned for the site, which is one of 24 Enterprise Zones created by the Government to support local economic growth and job creation.
