We have a three-way agreement outlining roles and responsibilities in the delivery of housing and regeneration in England together with the Local Government Association (LGA), and the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).
The Central Local Agreement on Housing and Regeneration formally makes creating thriving communities and affordable homes a shared priority.
Under the agreement it is acknowledged that central Government will set national policy and priorities, backed by funding for infrastructure and affordable homes. The HCA will act as a bridge between national targets and local ambitions; and the LGA will promote shared experience on housing issues in the sector through analysis, research and models of practice, as well as supporting councils to improve and deliver their housing and regeneration strategies.
