Development opportunities

As part of our efforts to help maintain the momentum of house building we are offering smaller sites for sale.

Lambton Mews, Cambrian Way

The site lies to the south of Cambrian Way on the outskirts of Lambton Village to the south of Washington. Washington is located some 9.5 kilometres (six miles) south of Newcastle upon Tyne. Existing housing in the vicinity of Lambton Mews is modern cluster style development with close proximity to the village centre and local schools. The site is close to the services provided by the shopping centre, at ‘The Washington Galleries’

The site will be placed on the market by way of informal tender and will be sold in accordance with the technical pack and brief. Bids will be considered on the following basis:

  • Freehold sale with the benefit of the existing planning permission (subject to a payment of £40,000 plus VAT to Property Logic to purchase their copyright);
  • Freehold sale conditional on the developer obtaining planning permission for an alternative development
  • The vendors are willing to consider flexible payment based on a plot by plot sale basis. Bidders will be required to enter into an
    agreement which obliges the developer to construct in accordance with plans and specifications approved by the HCA and LMML.
