David Curtis is the Director for North East, Yorkshire and The Humber region at the Homes and Communities Agency. David also Chairs the National Coalfields Programme Board and leads for the Agency on Planning and Transport matters including the Advisory Team for Large Applications (ATLAS). David was previously Director of Development Services with Sheffield City Council for nearly 10 years and was responsible for a whole range of planning, development and transport services for the city of Sheffield. David played a major role in the economic recovery of the city, leading on its physical regeneration and its infrastructure.
Qualified in Planning, Regeneration and Transportation, he has worked extensively across Yorkshire and Humber in a number of local authorities. Prior to joining Sheffield City Council he was Assistant Director of Development and Transport at the City of York and before that a Principal Planning Officer working on regeneration projects in the City of Hull.
